A player in Argentina was involved in one of the most bizarre red card after accidentally breaking an opponent's leg following the ball being booted at him from yards away.
Juan Pablo Krilanovich played for Lanus reserves against Banfield reserves in a 1-1 draw on Thursday and ended up being sent off for the hosts.
Lanus had been 1-0 up early on but also had Krilanovich dismissed in unusual but nonetheless brutal fashion.

The winger was chasing down Lautaro Cardozo as he attempted to launch the ball up the pitch.
With Krilanovich closing in, Cardozo pelted the ball square in Krilanovich's face and it him so hard that he slipped and fell right into the centre-back.

He skidded right onto Cardozo's right leg, which completely gave away and buckled. Krilanovich couldn't stop his momentum and it resulted in an unfortunate and serious injury.
Medics immediately attended to the stricken Cardozo, giving him treatment and placing him on a stretcher.
But then the referee, Martin Morenza, brandished the red card to Krilanovich for his challenge.
It was a very harsh call given there wasn't exactly any intent, but the official felt as they he had to act after the broken leg.

Cardozo's club Banfield revealed he suffered a fracture of the tibia and fibula in his right leg and underwent successful surgery.
League leaders Banfield, who levelled matters, to claim a point, received a message from Lanus in relation to Cardozo's injury.
On Twitter the club wrote, "At Club Lanús we are very happy that Lautaro Cardozo's operation has been carried out successfully. Our best wishes for a speedy recovery to him. Rivals, not enemies."
