'Several' Tottenham players want Antonio Conte SACKED following his sensational rant after the draw at Southampton.

Spurs squandered a 3-1 lead to draw with the Premier League's bottom team Southampton last Saturday, causing Conte to explode during his post-match press conference.

"They don’t play for something important," he furiously said. "They don’t want to play under pressure, they don’t want to play under stress.

"It is easy this way. Tottenham’s story is this. For 20 years there is the owner, but they never won something but why?"

The former Chelsea boss added: "The fault is only for the club, or for every manager that stays here? I have seen the managers that Tottenham had on the bench.

"Until now I try to hide the situation but not now because, I repeat, I don’t want to see what I have seen today because this is unacceptable and also unacceptable for the fans."

Conte's decision to publicly slam the board and his players hasn't gone down well at the club.

According to The Sun, Spurs stars are 'stunned' at Conte's astonishing rant and there are a 'few players' who want him relieved of his duties before the next league game against Everton on April 3.

Club chairman Daniel Levy could make the ruthless call to sack the 53-year-old during the international break.

The veteran Italian manager is out of contract at the end of the season and seems set to leave Spurs in the summer.

But he could be gone before the season is over, having delivered an explosive press conference.

Despite the reported mutiny at the club, Spurs currently occupy a Champions League spot as they sit in fourth place ahead of Newcastle United and Liverpool.

However, they've played two more games than Newcastle and Liverpool.

What's more, the North London outfit face Newcastle and Liverpool next month in games that could define their season.
