Manchester United have been heavily linked to Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana in recent weeks, with journalists expecting a move to be complete in the next week or two.
So with Man United fans on the edge of their seat waiting for the good news, Andre Onana has given them more reason to be excited for his pending arrival at the club.
The Cameroonian shot-stopper has explained his style of play and what he thinks the role of a goalkeeper should be in this day and age.
"The way I feel football, especially as a goalkeeper, in the last 20 years it is the position that has changed more, when I learned to play they told me: 'Andre you should never play through the center'.

"But nowadays, I tell you if there's space, come on (play), you always have to play where there's space.
"And today, when I talk about a goalkeeper, I talk about a modern keeper, who can play with his feet, who is good with one on one, who is brave, who transmits security and going well for high balls, and having this goalkeeper would be an advantage for your team because in the end you would always have numerical superiority.
"If the opposite team comes one against one you have the numerical superiority only with the goalkeeper."
This description is almost polar opposite to what United fans have seen from the current no.1 David De Gea this season, with high profile mistakes against Sevilla to get knocked out of the Europa League, West Ham in the Premier League top four race, and Manchester City in the FA Cup final costing the club dearly.

Fans have been crying out for a goalkeeper that is comfortable with the ball at his feet, more commanding of the area and less mistake-prone than the Spaniard.
There have been many times this season where De Gea has misplaced passes to put the team in danger of conceding, failed to attempt to claim crosses which leads to goals, and seems very uncertain in one on one situations.
Even his primary attribute, shot-stopping, has gotten worse as seen in the FA Cup final for Ilkay Gundogan's second and decisive goal.

It looks like Onana might be the man to fill De Gea's boots next season, as this video that shows him describing what he thinks a goalkeeper should be is exactly what United fans want to see from their no.1.
