Alisson Becker's 2021/22 Highlights Prove He's The Best Goalkeeper In World Football

Alisson Becker's 2021/22 highlights have gone viral, with fans hailing a stellar season in between the sticks for Liverpool's No.1.

After the error-heavy performance from Loris Karius in the 2018 Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid, Liverpool immediately went out and splashed out £66.8 million on Alisson from Roma.

The Brazilian became the most expensive goalkeeper in history but the move was one of the best Liverpool have ever made.

In Alisson, the Reds have an unbelievably reliable shot-stopper who is perfect for the way they play.

And last term, the Internacional youth product was at his imperious best and was deservedly named in the PFA Team of the Year.

A four minute compilation has showed just how consistent Alisson was for Liverpool and has many believing he would have been a worthy PFA Player of the Year.

He made a number of brilliant saves - with one of the most impressive coming against new teammate Darwin Nunez in a Champions League game at Anfield after he somehow tipped his goal-bound effort around the post.

Liverpool play with such a high line in order to always be on the front foot in games. That approach runs the risk of leaving a whole lot of space in behind but that's where Alisson well and truly proves his worth.

The 29-year-old is so proactive and extremely adept in 1v1 situations, smelling and anticipating the danger. It's hard to think of anybody better.

Sometimes even when the attacker has seemingly rounded Alisson, he somehow manages to sprawl to still make the save.

It's one of his most unique traits as a goalkeeper - the result of his experiencing playing handball - and one that makes him so hard to beat.

Alisson's heroics kept Liverpool in contention for an unprecedented quadruple going into the final stretch of the season and he made the crucial penalty save that secured the FA Cup win at Wembley.

His manager Jurgen Klopp put it best last season, saying: "Alisson Becker is the best goalkeeper in the world for me. There are top goalies out there but this keeper is insane."
