Max Verstappen has explained why he decided to like a social media post which slammed Red Bull's decision to drop Liam Lawson.
After a disappointing start to the 2025 campaign, Lawson was replaced by Yuki Tsunoda ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix.
The Kiwi crashed out during the season opener in Melbourne before finishing outside of the points at the Chinese Grand Prix.
At the time of Red Bull's brutal decision, it was reported that Verstappen was not happy with the call.

The Dutchman was also spotted liking an Instagram post which was written by former Caterham F1 driver Giedo van der Garde, who accused Red Bull of 'bullying'.
On Thursday, during media day at the Japanese Grand Prix, Verstappen was asked about his social media activity and whether it was a mistake.
As reported by BBC Sport, Verstappen said: "I liked the post, so that says enough, right? It wasn’t a mistake.
"That happens sometimes when you click on something."

The 27-year-old also revealed he has spoken to both Red Bull and Lawson since the decision was made.
He added: "Yeah, I’ve discussed everything with the team. I’ve spoken to Liam, and I think that’s all I can say about it.
"We need to just improve our car. That’s where the focus needs to be, that’s what I’ve said also to the team, and that’s also what I’m working on, to be honest."

Meanwhile, Lawson has express his excitement as he looks to reinvent himself at Racing Bulls.
He said: "I would say I was more surprised. Obviously it’s very early in the season. I was hoping to go to a track that I raced before and have a clean weekend, to have a chance like that.
"I have the opportunity to still be in Formula 1 and still racing, and that is the main thing for me. And with this opportunity, I’m excited to be here. Obviously, it’s been a strong start to the season for this team, for VCARB, so I guess it’s exciting for me to now come in here in this position."
