Martin Brundle revealed his theory about Lewis Hamilton ahead of the new season.
This week saw Hamilton make his first global appearance as a Ferrari driver as Formula 1 launched its 2025 season at the O2 arena in London.
Hamilton became the joint-most successful driver in F1 history while racing at Mercedes, winning six of his seven world championships with the Silver Arrows. His move to Ferrari, the most historic name in the sport, has created huge buzz ahead of the new campaign.
And former British F1 star Martin Brundle claimed that he believes Hamilton could go on to secure a record-breaking eighth world title with Ferrari and be out on his own, ahead of Michael Schumacher, as the most decorated driver in history.

In an interview with The Sun, Brundle said: “I think Lewis will be energised completely. He’s faster. Think back to Silverstone last year, think back to Las Vegas last year.
“Lewis was fast and I think he’ll want to show everybody he’s made yet another good decision.
“He’s got his hands full because Charles Leclerc is very fast. All the youngsters there, they’re barely half his age, some of them, and they’re fast and they’re fearless.
“I think he’s got a lot of hard work ahead, but I would never write Lewis out of my mind.”

When asked about Ferrari’s new car earlier this week, Hamilton told BBC Sport that he "feels like a car I am getting on well with".
He added: "From seeing the passion, everything under one roof, which I've never experienced before, this team has absolutely every ingredient to win.
"But we're also aware we have to continue to work. We have to improve and elevate everywhere - not everywhere but in certain areas, and I have no doubt that we can do that

"It's a place you genuinely don't really want to leave in the day. Everything's here. Even my motorhome is here so I don't ever leave."
