Alex Albon’s onboard camera captured a whole new angle of Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen’s collision during the Hungarian Grand Prix.
Last weekend, McLaren driver Oscar Piastri recorded his maiden Formula 1 victory after coming home first at the Hungaroring.
The closing stages of the race were filled with drama and controversy as Piastri’s teammate, Lando Norris, was ordered to let the Australian through despite leading the race.
Meanwhile, old foes Hamilton and Verstappen collided towards the end after the Dutchman locked up in his attempt to overtake the Mercedes driver into turn one.

As a result, Verstappen dropped down to fifth place and Hamilton kept third.
Now, there has been a new angle of the crash, courtesy of the onboard camera fitted to Williams driver Albon’s car. You can watch the footage below.
Speaking after the race about the accident, Verstappen said: “I went for a move that was fully on, but in the middle of the braking zone when I'm already committed to the move, he keeps warping right.

“If I wouldn't have turned while breaking straight, I would've made contact with him. At one point yeah, naturally I lock up, because he keeps on turning to the right.”
The reigning F1 world champion continued: “People always made a lot about what happened at Austria, but that's on the initial move and then you just break straight, you hold your wheel quite straight.
“I felt like, now, it was not on the initial move but afterwards during the braking zone. He keeps turning right, you cannot do that when someone is committed on the inside.

“That's why I locked up, otherwise we would've collided anyway because he would have turned in on me. I went for a move that was fully on, I don't think I braked too late, but we'll have a look at it.”
F1 will return this weekend with the Belgian Grand Prix, which will take place at Spa-Francorchamps.
