F1 fans heard singing chant that won't go down well with Lewis Hamilton during first Ferrari test

F1 fans heard singing chant that won't go down well with Lewis Hamilton during first Ferrari test

Lewis Hamilton tested in a Ferrari Formula 1 car for the first time.

Footage has emerged of Ferrari fans singing a chant that Lewis Hamilton might not be too happy about.

This week, the world of Formula 1 has been dominated by seven-time world champion Hamilton, who began life as a Ferrari driver.

On Monday, the 40-year-old took to social media to announce the beginning of his Ferrari career with one of the coldest pictures you will ever see.

The Brit then went behind the wheel of a Ferrari F1 car for the first time on Wednesday morning as he completed a test session for his new team.

Fans were seen gathering at the test track in Fiorano as they looked to get a first look at Hamilton in a Ferrari.

Footage then emerged on social media which captured fans chanting about Charles Leclerc, who will be Hamilton's teammate.

The chant translates to: "Leclerc, bring us the championship."

Reacting on social media, one fan said: "Been singing it for 6 years, give it up, if anyone is gonna do it it's Lewis, if not then there's no championship."

Another tweeted: "The best team in the world."

A third fan added: "Hamilton will bring us the championship not Leclerc."

Monegasque Leclerc is a firm favourite at Ferrari, having joined the team back in 2019.

Since then, the 27-year-old has eight Grand Prix wins to his name and will look to beat Hamilton in the new season to prove that he is still the main man in the team.

2025 is set to be a season of change in Formula 1

Aside from Hamilton, the 2025 season will also see a number of other drivers lining up for a new team.

For example, Carlos Sainz, who Ferrari replaced with Hamilton, will be racing alongside Alexander Albon at Williams Racing.

Meanwhile, Esteban Ocon will be representing Haas, with Nico Hulkenberg moving to Stake F1.

In addition, six F1 rookies in the shapes of Liam Lawson, Andrea Kimi Antonelli, Jack Doohan, Oliver Bearman, Gabriel Bortoleto and Isack Hadjar are set to get a taste of their first full season in the pinnacle of motorsports.

The 2025 F1 season will begin in March with the Australian Grand Prix, which will be held around Albert Park in Melbourne on March 16.
