Sky Sports made a Lewis Hamilton blunder just minutes into F1 2025 pre-season testing coverage - but it was swiftly rectified.
Hamilton was one of the first drivers on track on Wednesday morning in Bahrain as he completed his first 'official' laps as a Ferrari driver.
The Brit eventually finished in fifth place during the first session, although timings at this stage are not significantly representative as each driver and team will have been completing different runs and using different engine modes.

He did initially top the timesheets during the opening hour of the session, with his early run the focus of the Sky Sports F1 cameras.
They cut to a specific replay of Hamilton on track - but accidentally displayed him as a Mercedes driver rather than as a Ferrari driver.

The mistake was a simple one to make, of course, as the Brit had been a Mercedes driver between 2013 and 2024.

He won six world championships with the team, and the prospect of Hamilton ending his career with the Silver Arrows appeared a very real one until the days prior to his decision to sign for Ferrari in February 2025.
The Brit appeared content with his first run in the Ferrari, though it was his former Mercedes team-mate George Russell who was on post-testing media duty in the afternoon in Sakhir.
Russell told reporters: "It's a fresh start for all of us, so excited to see what the season will bring. This morning was a solid start from the team. The car's handling well.
"It's obviously very different conditions here compared to what we're used to, very windy.

"If you come away from this test quickest or fourth quickest, or whatever, you maybe not be able to read too much into it, but nevertheless, the car seemed to be performing well."
