More details have emerged after Lewis Hamilton was involved in an accident during his second test with Ferrari.
Last week, 40-year-old Hamilton began life as a Ferrari driver as he arrived at the team's base in Maranello.
The Brit went behind the wheel of a Ferrari Formula 1 car for the first time as he completed 30 laps around the team's test track in Fiorano.

As expected, Hamilton returned to action this week in Barcelona as his second test session with Ferrari took place around the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
However, it was reported that Hamilton suffered a crash during Wednesday's session, colliding with the barriers after losing control of the team's 2023 F1 car, the SF-23.
Hamilton is said to have 'lost control' of the car in the final sector of the track, subsequently hitting the barriers and causing 'rather serious' damage to the suspension and more minor damage to aerodynamic parts.

Now, extra details about the crash and Ferrari's reaction to Hamilton's mistake have emerged.
How Ferrari reacted to Lewis Hamilton's crash
Taking to social media after the reported accident, F1 journalist Scott Mitchell-Malm wrote: "Lewis Hamilton crashed during Ferrari’s private test with its 2023 #F1 car at Barcelona. Made contact with the barriers and caused damage that can be repaired today.
"Hamilton absolutely fine, I'm told, and the incident is played down as fairly minor as he builds familiarity with the Ferrari and starts to find the limit."

Meanwhile, F1 correspondent and presenter Lawrence Barretto stated that Ferrari are 'not believed to be concerned and consider the ‘off’ part and parcel of a driver getting up to speed with a new team and exploring the limits of his new machinery'.
It has been suggested that team engineers are 'working hard' in a bid to fix the car, which will allow Hamilton's teammate, Charles Leclerc, to complete his own testing session.
When asked last month if he was worried about Hamilton's need to adapt to his new surroundings, Ferrari team boss Fred Vasseur said: "I’m not worried at all. He’s coming with experience of this. He did almost 20 seasons in F1 – and he will manage perfectly this period."

Hamilton is set to get back behind the wheel of a Ferrari next week when the team begin a two-day Pirelli tyre test, again held in Barcelona.
