Lando Norris was left with a massive bar tab after celebrating his maiden Formula One Drivers' Championship title.

Six years after his Formula One debut, Norris secured his first F1 title after picking up a P3 finish at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix last weekend.

The 26-year-old is the 11th British driver to win an F1 title, following the likes of Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button and Damon Hill.

Of course, winning the biggest trophy in all of motorsports meant that Norris was partying late into the night with friends and family.

Shortly after completing all of the media duties that come with winning the F1 title, Norris was seen singing Queen’s classic We Are The Champions at the Amber Lounge inside the W Hotel beside the Yas Marina Circuit, where tables cost £20,000.

The McLaren driver and his team arrived at the venue after their original party at the Pearls & Caviar bar in the Shangri-La Hotel reportedly ended early less than an hour after Norris had arrived.

Speaking about the part, a source told The Sun: "Lando’s family and friends had started the party in the Shangri-La around 9pm but Lando didn’t turn up until 1am because he’d had so many interviews to do.

“It was just 45 minutes later that the lights came up and the staff said they were shutting up to go home.

“Orlando’s team laid on cars and got everyone over to the Amber Lounge.

“People in there were stunned when Lando and his entourage bowled in but they were the life and soul of the party."

The source revealed that Norris and his closest family and friends stayed out partying well into the early hours of the morning, with the newly-crowned champion racking up a six-figure drinks bill.

“He was up singing and his family and friends went hard – some of them didn’t finish up until 6am yesterday, including his mum and dad.

“Lando was on Cloud Nine all night. Even his first party’s messy ending didn’t dampen his spirits.

“It’s a night none of them will ever forget – especially for whoever ended up paying the tab – it was around £100,000 towards the end of the party.”

The next morning, Norris revealed that after leaving the party he had a quick trip to McDonald's to get some chicken nuggets, only to learn that they were not on sale at that time in the morning.

Instead, the Brit was forced to settled for a a chicken sausage, egg McMuffin, a decision that he admitted he quickly regretted.

“It (the after party) was amazing. I was with all the most important people in my life and the ones I’ve been with through everything," Norris said the following day.
