The fan-favourite drivers has broken his silence on the rumours.

Former F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo has made a massive revelation about the future of his career just days after being linked with a return to the sport.

Following a disappointing season for Racing Bulls Formula One Team, fan-favourite driver Ricciardo was sacked and replaced by New Zealand's Liam Lawson.

Although some assumed that we may never see Ricciardo race again, rumours emerged this week suggesting that he may make a shock return with new team Cadillac in 2026.

And now, the Australian has finally broken his silence about the rumours and given a huge update about his future in Formula One.

In a video posted on social media platform X, Ricciardo can be seen greeting a fan, who takes the opportunity to ask the 35-year-old about the links to Cadillac.

However, the former Red Bull driver was quick to shut down the rumours, saying: "Nah, I'm done."

Therefore, it would appear that after 257 Grand Prix starts for six different teams and an impressive eight race victories, Ricciardo may be calling it on his F1 career and enjoying retirement.

If so, Ricciardo's final race in Formula One will have been the 2024 Singapore Grand Prix in September, which saw him finish 18th after he decided to come into the pits late in the race to swap to soft tyres and claim the fastest lap of the race in his final outing.

After the race, 'The Honey Badger' appeared to be emotional in several interviews while discussing his time in the sport and remaining coy about his future plans.

"I’ve loved this sport my whole life. It’s wild and wonderful and been a journey," Ricciardo wrote on Instagram after the news of his departure was confirmed.

"To the teams and individuals that have played their part, thank you. To the fans who love the sport sometimes more than me haha thank you. It’ll always have its highs and lows but it’s been fun and truth be told I wouldn’t change it.

"Until the next adventure."

With Ricciardo ruling himself out of contention for the Cadillac team, questions remain over who could join the historic 11th F1 team in 2026.
