Fans spotted the unusual thing Charles Leclerc was doing while sitting alongside Lewis Hamilton at the F1 75 event, which took place in London on Tuesday.
Leclerc, 27 and Hamilton, 40, will be teammates during the 2025 campaign as the Brit has moved from Mercedes to Ferrari ahead of the new F1 season.
And since he arrived at the Italian manufacturer, fans have been hanging off Hamilton’s every word and watching every action.

The 40-year-old has been fairly open about realising what he described as a “dream” in joining the iconic team.
“There are some days that you know you’ll remember forever, and today, my first as a Ferrari driver, is one of those days,” Hamilton wrote on Instagram last month.
“I’ve been lucky enough to have achieved things in my career I never thought possible, but part of me has always held on to that dream of racing in red. I couldn’t be happier to realise that dream today.

“Today we start a new era in the history of this iconic team, and I can’t wait to see what story we will write together.”
But will he work cohesively with his new teammate, Leclerc?
Well, the Monaco-born driver described his new teammate as "the most successful driver in history" in a previous interview.
“Obviously, for me, it's going to be amazing because I’ll have in the same car as me the most successful driver in F1 history,” Leclerc said when speaking to Beyond the Grid in October 2024.

And it’s safe to say the duo are clearly getting along just fine, with eagle-eyed fans having spotted exactly what they were doing during Tuesday’s F1 75 event.
A video, which you can watch below, emerged on X - via Paris Match - of the pair appearing to play online chess whilst the event was taking place.
Fans were quick to give their take on social media.
