A potential spoiler for the upcoming Formula 1 film starring Brad Pitt has been spotted at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The film titled 'F1' will star the likes of Pitt, Damson Idris, Javier Bardem and Kerry Condon and is set to be released in 2025, with filming taking place across the 2024 F1 season.

During the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which Lando Norris won to clinch McLaren the constructor's title, fans spotted a potential spoiler from the F1 film.

Pitt, who plays a character named Sonny Hayes, was seen on the top step of the podium, flanked by Mercedes star George Russell and Ferrari's Charles Leclerc.

In another image, Pitt was seen celebrating with Bardem on the podium, which could be a sneak peek into what the story could be.

Speaking ahead of the Abu Dhabi race, Pitt said on Sky Sports: "I've got so much respect for these guys. What these drivers and cars can do. It's off the charts.

"I've been having the time of my life. I wish it could go on another year. I might shed a tear!"

He added: "It's really good fun. Our director said put actors in the car and bed ourselves in the weekend and make the best racing movie. I dare say we have done it."

Seven-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton was previously praised by producer Jerry Bruckheimer for making sure the film is realistic.

He said: "Lewis keeps us honest. He looks at every race and he’d say, ‘you wouldn't be in second gear in this moment. You'd be in first’.

"He comes in and he can hear the engine and the shifting and everything like that. So he looks at every race scene, and he also said, ‘in order to get one of these cars, you really have to be in shape’."

Bruckheimer continued: "So we had Brad training. We do a lot of stuff like that, thanks to his info."
