Premier League Darts star hits back after being left off promo material which featured every other player

He's made his feelings clear after being left out.

Premier League Darts star Rob Cross has spoken out after he was left off Sky Sports' promotional material that featured all of his other rivals.

The 2025 Premier League season finally gets underway on Thursday evening at The SSE Arena in Belfast.

Former world champion Cross is one of eight men competing this year along with Luke Littler, Luke Humphries, Michael van Gerwen, Stephen Bunting, Gerwyn Price, Chris Dobey and Nathan Aspinall.

Cross faces a tough quarter-final clash against fan favourite Bunting on the first night of the 2025 season, and it appears he may have been accidentally overlooked by official broadcasters Sky Sports.

The current world No 4 was left off a promotional poster published by Sky on Tuesday after the broadcaster signed a new five-year TV deal with the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), estimated to be worth around £25m per year.

All seven of his Premier League Darts rivals were included on the poster, along with Gary Anderson and women's stars Fallon Sherrock and Beau Greaves.

When asked about his omission, Cross joked: "Obviously my face must not fit.

"It's one of them - but they're still going to be seeing me for 16 weeks now.

"I'm not really too bothered. I've never really played darts for the limelight, I'm not one of those people."

Cross won the World Darts Championship in 2018 but has struggled for consistency in recent years and was knocked in the second round at Ally Pally in December.

The Englishman admits he has struggled at times to deal with the attention that comes with being one of the world's top darts players.

"Some people thrive off it," he added.

"When I won the World Championship, was I ready to be in the spotlight? Probably not.

"Did I really want to be in the spotlight? Probably not.

"But I did it, I fronted it, and I learnt a lot that year.

"I'm just happy as long as the cheque hits the bank at the weekend and I can feed the family on Monday."

The 2025 Premier League season will run for 16 weeks before the final play-off and knockout round at The O2 in London on May 29.

The overall prize money for the 2025 edition of the tournament remains at £1m, with the winner pocketing £275,000.

Littler is the defending champion, having beaten Humphries in the final of the 2024 tournament.
