Former PDC world champion Gerwyn Price stunned fans with a new walk-on song ahead of his Premier League quarter-final clash against Rob Cross on Thursday.
Price, 40, was no match for Cross, 34, at night eight of the Premier League Darts in Newcastle on Thursday evening and lost 6-2, with the younger of the pair setting up a semi-final against Luke Littler.
Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the evening’s action, Price claimed he was there to “win it” when asked what his ambitions for this year’s competition were.
"I'm in the Premier League and I'm here to win it," said Price. "If I don't, it's a disappointment. I'm getting back to my best, the consistency is coming and I'm hoping to win some big majors this year."

And despite his sub-par performance in the Northeast, it was his new walk-on song that really got fans talking.
Usually, the Welshman comes out to Vanilla Ice’s song “Ice, Ice Baby” but on Thursday he went for something completely different.

Instead, he was accompanied by "Nice To Meet You" by Myles Smith - which you can watch here - to the surprise of fans on social media, who were quick to give their thoughts.

A third explained: "Gerwyn price changed his walkout music? Outrageous."
While a fourth commented: "Gerwyn Price with the worst walkout song ever."

Later in the evening, local player Chris Dobey walked out to "Local Hero," with several Newcastle United players - including Kieran Tripper, Dan Burn and Harvey Barnes - in attendance just weeks after they won the Carabao Cup - breaking a 70-year trophy duck with a 2-1 victory over Liverpool in the final.
A huge Newcastle flag was unfurled with several others making it onto the stage before Dobey's opponent Luke Humphries walked out to "I Predict A Riot" by the Kaiser Chiefs.
And despite having the majority of the crowd on his side, Dobey lost 6-3 against Humphries in the quarter-finals.
