Damon Heta hits second nine-darter of World Darts Championships and the noise inside Ally Pally was incredible

The 2025 PDC World Darts Championship returned on Friday afternoon.

Australian darts star Damon Heta sent the Alexandra Palace into pandemonium after hitting a stunning nine-darter.

After taking a few days off for Christmas, the 2025 PDC World Darts Championship returned to Ally Pally on Friday afternoon.

The first match of the day was between Aussie star Heta and England's Luke Woodhouse.

After dropping the first set, world number nine Heta produced a stunning nine-darter to send the crowd into a frenzy. Heta had a chance to score a nine-dart finish during his second round match against Connor Scutt but missed Double 12.

Heta becomes the second player to achieve the nine-dart finish after Christian Kist did it last week. You can watch the footage below.

Reacting to Heta's nine-darter on Sky Sports, commentator Stuart Pyke said: "Heroics! Heroics from Heta. Amazing from the Aussie. We are back after Christmas and he nails the nine.

"Darts to take your breath away from Damon Heta."

Teenage sensation and favourite for the tournament Luke Littler came close to hitting a nine-darter during his second round match against Ryan Meikle but fell at the last hurdle as he failed to pin Double 12.

As a result of his nine-darter, Heta will pocket a huge prize of £60,000, with the Prostate Cancer charity and a randomly selected fan in the crowd also receiving the huge amount as part of a campaign from sponsors Sky Sports and Paddy Power.

Friday's schedule at the 2025 PDC World Darts Championship:

Afternoon Session:

Jonny Clayton vs Daryl Gurney

Stephen Bunting vs Madars Razma

Night Session:
