Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has held positive talks with Raheem Sterling over a potential move to Stamford Bridge this summer, according to reports.
In January, it was mentioned that Manchester City had offered Raheem Sterling a contract extension as far back as September 2020.
However, the England international decided to stall on his decision over extending his stay at the Etihad Stadium as he sought assurances over regular first-team football.

While Pep Guardiola’s decision to hand a surprise start to Sterling in the 2021 Champions League final was a sign of his trust in the former Liverpool winger, it seemed to many the Spaniard lost a lot of the same faith in the 27-year-old last term.
The numbers certainly support the aforementioned argument as Sterling played the least number of minutes during his Manchester City career since his debut 2015/16 campaign.
As a result, it comes as no surprise the Englishman has been linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium this summer, as Chelsea have seemingly come calling ahead of the final year on the forward's Manchester City contract.

While some within the City fanbase brushed aside the initial speculation as baseless transfer talk, it can be stated with utmost confidence that the player is considering the switch to west London.
A recent report mentioned the four-time Premier League champions has enquired about how life is under Thomas Tuchel as Sterling decides his immediate future at the Etihad Stadium.
As per the latest information provided by Nathan Gissing, Thomas Tuchel has held positive talks with Raheem Sterling regarding a potential move to Stamford Bridge.

Additionally, it has been claimed that Sterling is Chelsea’s number one attacking target ahead of the upcoming campaign.
This aligns with suggestions that Chelsea believe that if they agree to pay in excess of £50 million for Raheem Sterling - as demanded by the Premier League champions - the deal will be as good as done.
With Chelsea’s attack flattering to deceive last term, Raheem Sterling appears to be guaranteed a starting place in the side ahead of the World Cup in Qatar later this year.

In addition, the fact the German has reportedly taken the onus to pitch his project to the Englishman is a sign of how highly Sterling is regarded by the former Borussia Dortmund manager.
Sterling is keen on arriving on a concrete decision on his club future in the coming weeks, before Manchester City head to the United States for pre-season in July.
