Riyad Mahrez wants to commit the final years of his career to Manchester City and could pen a new deal this summer, according to a new report.
When it comes to loyalty and the ability to maintain top-level players at a club, there are few better in the business than Manchester City.
In the past decade, the Blues have been graced with several elite players - from David Silva to Sergio Aguero - who have went on to become legends at the Etihad Stadium.

This was amidst plenty of interest from elite sides across Europe and beyond, season after season, with current Champions League winners Real Madrid often linked with swoops for the aforementioned pair in seasons gone by.
City have more often than not held onto their players throughout the prime of their careers, to ensure their best years are spent in sky blue.
It looks as though the Premier League champions are set to do it again, as star winger Riyad Mahrez is keen to settle a new deal in Manchester.

Mahrez, 31, joined Pep Guardiola's side in the summer of 2018 after failing to get his desired move to City midway through the 2017/18 campaign.
The three-time Premier League winner has made 189 appearances across all competitions for the Blues, scoring 63 goals and assisting 46 others during his time at the Etihad Stadium.
As is the case with Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling, both of whom could leave Manchester City this summer, the Algeria international is entering the final 12 months of his contract.

As reported by The Sun, Mahrez is now ready to sign another three-year deal at the Etihad Stadium, with the option of a further year on top of that later down the line.
Manchester City will be keen on securing the winger's long-term future to avoid the risk of losing him on a free transfer next summer.
Additionally, the Etihad club believe that a deal will be agreed without any problems as Riyad Mahrez has been understood to be happy to spend the rest of his elite years in Manchester.

The Algerian is believed to be settled in Manchester and with him expecting the birth of his first child with partner Taylor Ward, he is content to extend his four-year spell with City.
In his four seasons at the club, Mahrez has added a host of silverware to the famous league title he claimed at former club Leicester City in 2016.
The forward has also won three Carabao Cup titles, an FA Cup and Community Shield shield each at the Etihad Stadium.

Mahrez has undoubtedly proved his mettle on the big stage for the Premier League champions, scoring thrice in the Champions League semi-final to send his side to their first-ever European final in 2021.
