Real Madrid are considering a swoop for Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus after failing to close a deal for Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe, according to a new report.
The Champions League winners were handed a major blow when Mbappe decided against a sensational switch to the Santiago Bernabeu despite reports of a verbal agreement in place with the Spanish giants and signed a three-year deal with PSG.
However, despite missing out on adding arguably the best young player in world football currently, Carlo Ancelotti's side finished the season on a high by winning the La Liga as well as claiming their 14th Champions League title in Paris.

Whilst Karim Benzema continues to age like fine wine, Real Madrid are believed to be on the lookout for alternative targets ahead of the summer transfer window to bolster their ageing squad by bringing in young, fresh blood.
The past few months have seen confidence emerge amongst various quarters that Gabriel Jesus is keen on leaving Manchester City in the summer after being rotated regularly by manager Pep Guardiola and often playing out wide despite his desire of operating as a centre forward.
Tottenham, Juventus and Atletico Madrid have also been recently linked with a swoop for the Brazil international, who is entering the final 12 months on his contract at the Etihad Stadium.

According to a new report by the ever-reliable Martin Blackburn of The Sun, Real Madrid have entered the race to sign Gabriel Jesus and are considering a move for the 25-year-old after failing to land Kylian Mbappe from PSG.
It has been revealed Los Blancos have been alerted about Jesus' situation at Manchester City, where he has failed to establish himself as a regular starter for Pep Guardiola since he signed for the Premier League champions in January 2017.
Whilst it is believed Jesus remains open to a move to Arsenal despite their failure to secure Champions League football for the upcoming campaign, Real Madrid could swoop in and attempt to hijack Mikel Arteta's pursuit of the former Palmeiras talisman.

Manchester City retained the Premier League title for the second time under Pep Guardiola in scintillating fashion on the final day of the campaign with an enthralling 3-2 win over Aston Villa.
A key attacking outlet for the Blues in the run to the Champions League semi-final as well as a fourth league title under Guardiola, Jesus bagged 13 goals and 12 assists in 41 appearances across all competitions for the Etihad side.
With Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez already in through the door, Jesus is expected to depart the Etihad Stadium in search of regular minutes and with some very viable options on the table, the attacker will have plenty to choose from when he returns from international duty on Tuesday.
