Manchester City host Chelsea in the Carabao Cup third round on Wednesday.
City are bidding to win the competition for a fifth time under Pep Guardiola, having previously won the Carabao Cup on four successive occasions between 2018 and 2021.

Wednesday evening will be Raheem Sterling's first opportunity to return to the Etihad Stadium, after leaving Manchester City in the summer for an initial £47.5 million.

On the opposite flank, Sergio Gomez can be expected to start at left-back, making his fifth start for the club.
In central defence, Ruben Dias and Aymeric Laporte both look set to start, after being named substitutes at the weekend.
As Kalvin Phillips is not expected to start, one predicts Ilkay Gundogan to feature in the central defensive midfield role.
