After assessing every Premier League club’s summer business, it was unanimously agreed by fans and pundits alike that Manchester City were the winners of the transfer window.
While incomings such as Kalvin Phillips, Stefan Ortega Moreno, and Manuel Akanji are yet to play a significant role in the side, Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez have made a major impression since their respective arrivals at the club.
The Norwegian striker in particular has ten goals to his name in just six Premier League matches - making him the joint-fastest to reach double figures in the history of the division.

As for Julian Alvarez, the Argentina international shone against Nottingham Forest with a brilliant brace, and in cameos off the bench, he has emerged as an instant contributor to Manchester City’s performances.
From an outgoings point of view as well, Etihad officials have made quite the statement.
For starters, the club brought in north of £170 million from notable player sales involving big names such as Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko, which meant they ultimately made a profit this summer.

Furthermore, youngsters such as Romeo Lavia and Gavin Bazunu - for whom buy-back clauses are in place - have thrived during their start to life at Southampton.
The same may be the case with Juan Larios and Samuel Edozie, who could also be set for a return to the Etihad Stadium in the future after signing on a permanent basis for the Saints.
As Pep Guardiola was quizzed about his thoughts on Manchester City’s summer business, he shared a positive outlook.
“The club has worked really well in the past, not just this year, but this year it happened,” he said in a recent press conference.

Guardiola continued, “Southampton were interested in our academy players and took four.
"And of course, three important players went to Chelsea and Arsenal.
"Sometimes in the market, this doesn't happen."

The Manchester City boss continued, "Maybe we don’t have this, ‘We have to win’ because we won four Premier Leagues in five years so we are more calm.
"When you are more time without winning the pressure is maybe to change. Every year is different.
"This year it happened and we sold a lot and our net profit is really good. It is good for the club because the club must be sustainable. We need to be balanced. In this year and the previous one helps us to be in the perfect position for the next years. This is good.”

Once again, Manchester City proved this summer that there are not many better operators in the transfer market than the Premier League giants in Europe.
