After coming back from two goals down against Newcastle United, Manchester City repeated their heroics from last Saturday against Crystal Palace.
However, the Premier League champions left with all three points this time around, as they beat the Eagles 4-2 at the Etihad Stadium.
With Patrick Vieira’s side leading 0-2 within the first 21 minutes, courtesy of a John Stones own goal and a Joachim Andersen header, things seemed awry for the hosts.

However, Manchester City dug deep to pull off a comeback for the ages, as Bernardo Silva opened the scoring from outside the box in the 53rd minute.
From that point onwards, it was all about the one and only Erling Haaland.
Nine minutes later, the Norwegian international got on the end of an inch-perfect cross from Phil Foden to level the scores.

Soon after, John Stones miscued a gilt-edged chance to put Manchester City into the lead, after Bernardo Silva set up a peach of a cutback opportunity from close quarters.
However, the ball fell kindly into Erling Haaland’s path, who tapped the ball into the back of the net and completed an incredible fightback.
The blockbuster striker was not done yet, as he did justice to a superb through ball from Ilkay Gundogan to bully Joel Ward and cap off his first hat-trick in sky blue.

As Manchester City showed immense character to come back from the dead against a tricky Crystal Palace side, Pep Guardiola revealed that he has started to believe in his side winning from such precarious positions.
“We were not a team in the past that made a lot of comebacks."
The Catalan coach continued, "When we conceded, we were not able to do it.
"I had a feeling that with the players we have and the mentality, we can score goals in a few minutes."

After his side’s brilliant comeback against Newcastle United, Pep Guardiola had touched on how the Sky Blues’ exploits against Aston Villa on the final day of last term has sparked a newfound belief in him in such situations.
“After what happened against Aston Villa – in five minutes, we scored three goals – I can rely on everything, so no problem.”
With Manchester City showing the ability to stand up tall against the odds, this trait could bode very well in their bid to defend their Premier League crown and win the Champions League.
