Last Saturday's victory came less than a week after the Blues' 2-0 win over West Ham, as City became one of just two sides to win their opening two fixtures.
The reigning Premier League Champions sit top of the table, with opponents Newcastle sitting in fifth, after an unbeaten to start to their campaign.
Eddie Howe's side had to settle for a point against Brighton last Saturday, unable to add to their opening day victory against Nottingham Forest at St James' Park.
City become the latest side to visit Newcastle, who travel to Tranmere Rovers in the Carabao Cup following Sunday's meeting.

Meanwhile, Guardiola's side will head to the Spain, where they face Barcelona in a charity match on Wednesday 24th August.
The Blues are unbeaten in their last six matches against the Magpies, winning by an aggregate score of 22-3.
Raheem Sterling scored twice when the sides last met in May, as City convincingly beat Newcastle 5-0 at the Etihad Stadium.
