Following their first loss of the season against Liverpool, Manchester City will look to bounce back as they take on Brighton, who have been struggling as of late, at the Etihad Stadium this weekend.
Last Sunday, Manchester City lost their first competitive match of the season to Liverpool, who prior to the game, were the only team to defeat the Cityzens since their acquisition of Erling Haaland during the summer.
The defeat came after a fiercely fought affair, with the first-half seeing attempts for both sides.

One notable attempt was created after Kevin De Bruyne perfectly curled a ball for Haaland to head, however, it was met by the gloves of Alisson.
The second-half saw more action with the first goal of the game coming in the 55th minute from Phil Foden.
However after VAR took a look at the build-up, the goal was disallowed due to the Haaland tugging on the shirt of Fabinho in the lead up to the goal.
With the game sitting level in the 76th minute, Mo Salah caught a pass from Alisson, and broke free from a contesting Joao Cancelo, to go on and deliver the match's first and only goal, putting Liverpool ahead with 15 minutes left to play.

Within the remaining minutes, the match continued to keep its aggressive nature with Jurgen Klopp shown a straight red card.
On the other side of Saturday’s match sits Brighton, who have been struggling as of late.
Since former head coach Graham Potter departed the club for Chelsea in early September, the side have yet to win a match, drawing their games against Liverpool, while losing to Brentford and Tottenham Hotspur.

Their most recent game was against Nottingham Forest, which resulted in a draw for the Seagulls despite having a lion's share of the possession, while also registering seven shots on target.
Their run of late see’s the south coast side sitting comfortably in the middle of the table.
Ahead of this weekend, Pep Guardiola had some good news regarding the status of John Stones, who has been sidelined since late September after the England centre-back sustained an injury while playing in the UEFA Nations League.
The Catalan has stated that Stones will have his name in the list for Saturday’s match, although fellow England duo Kyle Walker and Kalvin Phillips are going to remain out as they continue to recover from their respective injuries.
