Sergio Gomez has opened up about the influence of Manchester City legend David Silva.
The 21 year-old completed an initial £11 million move from RSC Anderlecht to the Premier League Champions on Tuesday, becoming Pep Guardiola's fifth addition of the summer.
Gomez was directly involved in 22 goals for Anderlecht last season, helping Vincent Kompany's side to an impressive third place finish in the Belgian Pro League.

The Spain defender replaces Oleksandr Zinchenko at the Etihad Stadium, following the Ukraine full-backs £30 million move to Arsenal last month.
Gomez becomes the fifth player to join the Sky Blues this summer, after the arrivals of Erling Haaland, Julian Alvarez, Kalvin Phillips and Stefan Ortega.
Haaland scored twice on Premier League debut last weekend away at West Ham, while the Norwegian also assisted Ilkay Gundogan against Bournemouth on Saturday.

City's newest signing, who's transfer fee could reportedly rise to £16.9 million, was in attendance at the weekend, as City thrashed Bournemouth 4-0 at the Etihad Stadium.
Similarly to Haaland, Gomez has revealed his childhood affinity to the Sky Blues, and particular admiration for one City legend.
Gomez has inherited the number 21 shirt at the club, becoming the third consecutive Spaniard to hold the squad number.

The number 21, which is famously associated to club legend David Silva, had been previously worn by Ferran Torres.
The 21 year-old has opened up about the influence of the midfield legend, and the impact Silva had on him growing up.
Gomez told Manchester City's official website: “I was a City fan when I was a kid.
“When we were kids, my brother used to support City. He’s the main reason I became a fan as well.

“Once he was on a school trip to London and I asked him to bring a David Silva shirt.
“At that time, he was wearing the No.21 shirt and he was my favourite player because I used to play in his position when I was a kid.
“I feel very proud that I can wear his number, like Ferran Torres did here.
“I think it's very nice that another Spanish player takes the No.21 shirt and I will give my best wearing it.”
