The highlight of the celebrations was 'The Freakshow 2022', hosted by one member of the Manchester City squad.

Players, their partners, and close friends all attended the glamorous showpiece event in their numbers, with snapshots of the exclusive gig showcased on Instagram across the weekend and into Monday.

For Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson (second from the left), it was a classic for the Brazilian, who donned a killer clown mask with his costume for the night.
On to the more extreme, and Kyle Walker (left) and his friends came as the Spice Girls, with the Manchester City and England right-back showing off a Mel B-inspired outfit and accompanying wig.
Nathan Ake was another of Manchester City's players in attendance at The Freakshow, accompanying his wife Kaylee at the event.

Joining Ake at The Freakshow was Aymeric Laporte (first photo, right), who attended alongside his partner Sara Botello and close friend Ibi Markitz.
Elsewhere, Sergio Gomez dressed up as The Joker.
As for Manuel Akanji and his wife Melanie, the Manchester City centre-back looked totally suave in his Halloween gear.

England international duo Kalvin Phillips and Jack Grealish also donned impressive outfits, with the latter starring alongside his girlfriend Sasha Attwood as members of the cast from Grease, Sandy and Danny.

Then for the star of the evening: Erling Haaland.
There were no surprises when it came to the Norwegian frontman of Manchester City who came as... himself!
The club's number nine donned a brilliantly themed Viking outfit for the evening, as he joined his City teammates and other friends at The Freakshow in South Manchester.
Manchester City return to action on Wednesday night, as they host Sevilla in their final Champions League group stage game of the season.
Pep Guardiola's players returned to training on Monday morning following their day off on Sunday, and will intensify preparations for the showdown at the Etihad Stadium throughout Tuesday.
The Manchester City manager is also expected to provide an update on the fitness of his players during a press conference on Tuesday afternoon.
