Manchester City have recorded staggering figures when it comes to global merchandise sales, a new report has revealed this week.
The City Football Group as a whole, working alongside key officials focussing specifically on Manchester City, have been developing the brand and the club's global image over the course of the last few years.
Following huge domestic success from Pep Guardiola's side in recent seasons, complimented by the achievements of individual players, City have been able to further expand their market into several different countries.

However, their most recent big-name acquisition, complimented by the club's launch of hugely popular kits manufactured by their partners over at Puma, have seen significant benefits.
According to an exclusive report from Mark Douglas of The I, Manchester City have recorded a 101 per cent uplift in 2022/23 kit sales when compared to last season’s figures.
It is further highlighted that the Premier League champions have sold as many shirts on official club channels in two months this season as they did across the whole of the last campaign.

Complimenting the club's drive to expand their brand across the globe, The I reveal that over in the United States, Manchester City's retail revenues from July to September have recorded a 250 per cent rise.
Perhaps the most clear example as to where and how Erling Haaland has impacted these sales figures specifically is over in Scandinavia.
The report reveals that upon the official reveal of Erling Haaland’s Manchester City shirt number in July, there were 'huge spikes' in sales across Norway, Sweden and Germany – all markets where the Premier League giants have had 'record sales'.

Across the whole of Scandinavia, Mark Douglas' report states that 51 per cent of their sales have been specifically Erling Haaland shirts.
Many in the game expect Erling Haaland to be the next global superstar.
In fact, some even go as far as to say that in Haaland and Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappe, world football may have their successors to the Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi duo that has changed the course of the game over the last two decades.

For Manchester City, they will be hoping that Erling Haaland's rise as a brand and as an athlete will have even greater knock-on effects on the growth of the club.
There are of course concerns in some quarters that the Norway international may be focussed on achieving great heights in multiple leagues across the course of his career.
As such, a release clause was embedded into his Etihad contract during the summer, after signing from Borussia Dortmund.

That clause is understood to be in the region of £175 million, decreasing across the duration of his contract, but first becoming active in the summer of 2024.
