A decision has now been made on the status of Manchester City's upcoming Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night, it has been confirmed.
Uncertainty around the European clash has come about across the course of the last 24 hours following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
This uncertainty was further heightened on Friday morning, when the Premier League came to the decision to postpone the weekend's fixture schedule, including Monday night matches early next week.
For Manchester City, this meant their high-profile top of the table clash against Tottenham Hotspur was postponed until further notice.

"To honour her extraordinary life and contribution to the nation, and as a mark of respect, this weekend’s Premier League match round will be postponed, including Monday evening’s game."
However, given a mixture of factors - including the packed fixture schedule - there was a strong feeling that there was no movement available for the coming midweek fixtures in European competition.
The fate of Manchester City's upcoming Champions League group stage clash against Borussia Dortmund at the Etihad Stadium has now been confirmed.

As per Simon Bajkowski of the Manchester Evening News, that clash will take place as scheduled on Wednesday night, with a kick-off time of 20:00 GMT.
Manchester City are still however awaiting the fate of their next game in the Premier League.
At present, Pep Guardiola's squad are scheduled to travel to Molineux next Saturday to take on Wolverhampton Wanderers in the top-flight.

However, there remains the possibility that the Premier League could postpone a second consecutive gameweek of action due to the scheduling of the Queen's state funeral.
A decision on next weekend is however expected in the coming days.
Should Manchester City not be in action next weekend, then their next Premier League match would be against Manchester United on October 2nd.
