Bernardo Silva remains of interest to Paris Saint Germain, despite seemingly ruling out a move away from the Etihad Stadium this summer.
After the weeks of inescapable speculation around Bernardo Silva’s future at Manchester City, reports aplenty have suggested that he will stay at the club this summer.
While it seemed as if his heart was set on a move to Barcelona, it has been claimed that his stance on a possible exit has softened recently.

So much so that the midfield maestro is said to be considering putting pen to paper at the Etihad Stadium in an unexpected turn of events.
Considering the time constraints at hand to recruit a suitable replacement for the 28-year old in the ongoing summer window, it seems as if the club have also deemed it risky business to let one of their key players depart.
However, it seems as if a new club is now keen on unsettling the Portuguese international in a bid to cap off a potentially audacious coup.

As per a report by French newspaper L’Équipe, translated and relayed by Get French Football News, Paris Saint-Germain have joined the race to sign Bernardo Silva, with sporting director Luis Campos in particular eyeing his signature.
Campos, who was responsible for signing Silva for Monaco in 2014, is said to have kept contact with his ex-colleague, with the pair discussing a potential switch to the Ligue 1 side at the start of the summer.
It is also mentioned that the four-time Premier League champion is open to a new challenge in the 2022/23 season.

Interestingly, the in-demand midfielder is claimed to have privately showcased an interest in the Parisians’ project, with initial talks between the club’s decision makers and his entourage having taken place already.
Keeping in mind Barcelona’s well-documented financial instability, Luis Campos is believed to have ensured that the Ligue 1 champions have a shot at signing the decorated midfielder.
Silva has won 11 trophies since signing for the Sky Blues, including four Premier League titles.
Although, it has been stated that UEFA have kept a close eye on PSG due to potential sanctions as part of Financial Fair Play (FFP).

Additionally, Pep Guardiola’s side are unwilling to sanction the sale of Silva.
It is also crucial to point out that despite the former Benfica man’s reported desire to leave City at one point, it is understood that his sole focus remains on enjoying yet another stellar campaign at the club.
Keeping that in mind as well as Manchester City’s unshakeable stance on keeping Bernardo Silva, Paris Saint-Germain’s efforts to pull off a late blinder in the transfer market seem hopeful at best.
