Manchester City are claiming that their team bus was subject to an attack as it left Anfield on Sunday evening.
The Premier League champions' unbeaten start to the new season came to an end on Merseyside at the weekend.
A single strike from Mohamed Salah midway through the second-half proved to be the difference between the two sides, on an evening marred by VAR controversy and disturbances away from the football pitch.

Phil Foden saw an opening goal ruled out prior to Salah's strike, when Anthony Taylor adjudged Erling Haaland to have fouled Fabinho in the build-up to the goal.
Pep Guardiola is also alleged to have been pelted by coins, thrown in his direction from Liverpool supporters in attendance at Anfield on Sunday.
Now, Manchester City have launched another claim regarding the behaviour of individuals in and around Anfield at the weekend.

As per a report from Simon Bajkowski of the Manchester Evening News, Manchester City have now claimed that their team bus was 'attacked' as it made its way out of Anfield on Sunday evening.
Further detail in the report states that City's bus was pelted as it made its way down Anfield Road, with subsequent inspection showing a crack in the windscreen.
Elsewhere on the night, Manchester City also claimed that Pep Guardiola was targeted by coins from some supporters in the Anfield home end following the VAR decision to rule out Phil Foden's goal.

City are expected to submit a formal complaint to the Premier League and Football Association about a number of issues seen on Merseyside at the weekend.
Additionally, it has also been reported that the Premier League champions were left less than impressed by Jurgen Klopp's pre-match comments regarding Manchester City's finances.
Speaking during his pre-match press conference last week, the Liverpool manager was quizzed on City's spending, to which he responded, "You will not like the answer, and you all have the answer already.

"Nobody can compete with (Manchester) City in that (spending)."
The German coach continued, "You have the best team in the world and you put in the best striker on the market.
"No matter what it costs, you just do it.
"I know City will not like it, nobody will like it, you've asked the question but you know the answer.

"What does Liverpool do? We cannot act like them. It is not possible."
