Pep Guardiola comes in to his next challenge of the 2022/23 season off the back of securing top spot in Group G of their Champions League campaign on Tuesday night.
Borussia Dortmund posed a stern test for Manchester City, but avoiding defeat at the home of the Bundesliga champions was enough to secure one of the favourites to win the competition pole position in the mini-table.

While the game ended goalless, and City failed to seriously impose themselves on the contest, it was certainly a spectacle to entertain those watching on from within the ground, at home, and further abroad.
One particular moment did give their supporters plenty of hope though, as Riyad Mahrez won then proceeded to take a second-half penalty in front of their travelling fans.
However, the Algeria international failed to convert, spurning Manchester City's greatest chance of the game.
The match did also leave Pep Guardiola and onlooking supporters with plenty to be concerned about in terms of fitness issues.

Nevertheless, Pep Guardiola will certainly be left glowing by the overriding achievement of the evening, which ultimately hands Manchester City the chance of a more favourable draw in the last-16 of the competition.

Marc Albrighton (illness) returned in the 4-0 victory at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
However, in an encouraging update from Brendan Rodgers this week, Ndidi returned to training for the Foxes ahead of the clash against Manchester City.
Speaking during his pre-match press conference, Rodgers explained, "We’ll monitor Jonny over the next few games.
"Wilfred Ndidi has been back training with the squad. The most important thing is he’s back training in the squad and he’s looked fine with the players."

The Leicester boss continued, "Availability is the important thing and thankfully he’s available. Marc Albrighton was obviously back last weekend. We’re all fine."
Ricardo Pereira and Ryan Bertrand remain ruled out with long-term injury problems.
Manchester City
Pep Guardiola will continue to be without Kalvin Phillips and Kyle Walker this weekend.
However, the England international midfielder is making significant progress following surgery on a persistent shoulder problem.
Phillips has been ever-present in first-team training, but has largely remained away from the main group to avoid unnecessary contact to the recently-operated area.
The biggest concern ahead of the weekend is regarding Erling Haaland - who was withdrawn with a foot problem against Borussia Dortmund.
Pep Guardiola was unable to provide complete clarity on the fitness of the Norwegian, as he said of the situation, “He feels better, but we train this afternoon, and we will assess in these few hours.
"We will see how he feels. After we will decide - I will know it in two hours if he can play."
Speaking on the fitness of the rest of his squad, including Joao Cancelo - who has also been a recent doubt through a fever, Guardiola said, "After the game (against Borussia Dortmund) everyone trained well. I have to wait for the people coming back to know exactly how they feel."
