Manchester City vice-captain Kevin De Bruyne has opened the door to a possible position change for Phil Foden in the coming years, speaking during a recent interview.
The pair caused havoc at the weekend, as Manchester City cruised to a dominant 6-3 win over bitter rivals Manchester United.
Foden was crucial in front of goal.

Alongside teammate Erling Haaland, the England international scored his first professional hat-trick.
While Phil Foden has been so effective as a wide-winger in recent seasons under Pep Guardiola, there has always been a feeling that he would eventually move to the role that he developed under during his time with the City academy.
This week, his teammate at the club Kevin De Bruyne shares the opinion of some fans that a move elsewhere on the pitch is only a matter of time away as Foden's career develops.

Offering his take on what the future holds for Phil Foden at Manchester City, the former Chelsea and Wolfsburg man explained, "What is he not good at? He can play in a lot of different positions,” De Bruyne opened.
“I think eventually he will end up playing centrally in my opinion.
"But in this moment in time it is maybe a little bit better for him on the wing to have more freedom and fewer instructions so he flows into the game."

De Bruyne continued by exclaiming that there is still more to come from the Manchester City academy product, given age being on his side.
"He will (improve) because he's only 22," the Belgian international said of Phil Foden.
"I know at 22 I wasn't the player that I am now."

De Bruyne continued, "He's so good so it's trying to find consistency.
"He's been playing unbelievably for us so he will be here for a long time."
Phil Foden will look to further have a transformational effect on Manchester City's results this week, and throughout October as fixtures come thick and fast ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
City continue their Champions League group stage campaign on Wednesday night, as they host FC Copenhagen at the Etihad Stadium on matchday three of Europe's elite club competition.
