Since Erling Haaland was confirmed as a Manchester City player, it has come as no surprise that he has been the talk of the town.
The 22-year-old joined Pep Guardiola’s side as arguably the most coveted striker in world football.
The Norwegian international has been one of the most devastating goalscorers in Europe, ever since his move to Borussia Dortmund from RB Salzburg in 2020.

With the youngster touted to compete with Kylian Mbappe for the crown of the best player in the world for years to come, as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo near the end of their careers, there have been plenty of reasons for the hype around his arrival to City.
Kevin De Bruyne has commented on what it has been like to be in the presence of a global phenomenon in the vein of Erling Haaland, as well as the notion that media attention appears to be solely focused on Manchester City's star summer signing.
“It's easier for me, huh? I have less to do," he told TNT Sports' Fred Caldeira.

The Belgian international continued, “Honestly, I don't care.
"When Erling (Haaland) came to Manchester City, he's a superstar, the media will come to him, that's fine.
"He deserves everything he gets if does the job he does."
De Bruyne went on to stress the lack of change in mentality upon the arrival of the club's new striker, as he continued, "I think for the rest of us, it doesn't change; we were a really good team before him, and we'll be a really good team with him.

"In the end, this is life.”
With Erling Haaland scoring 12 goals in seven games across the Premier League and Champions League so far this term, it is safe to say that he has ripped defences to shreds ever since joining the Sky Blues.
Commenting on his start to life at the Etihad Stadium, and the potential difference of now playing with a recognised striker in the team, Kevin De Bruyne said, “I've played with strikers before; I've played with Kun (Sergio Aguero), he's a little bit similar, but he has different qualities.

"I think Erling adapted really well, I think he can still do a lot better in the game.
"But when you score goals as a striker, obviously a lot of people are going to judge you on that so then you do really well.”

It seems as if Kevin De Bruyne is certainly pleased to be playing alongside Erling Haaland, with the pair linking up once again for Manchester City’s first goal in their 0-4 thrashing of Sevilla in their Champions League opener.
