Manchester City are set to formally announce two signings across Monday.

Over the past few weeks, the Premier League champions have been in intense negotiations over the futures of two players.

In a summer of major transition, Pep Guardiola and Etihad officials are substantially altering the first-team squad.

Following the exit of Fernandinho upon the expiry of his Manchester City contract last month, City chief have been keen on a natural replacement to offer competition to first-team mainstay Rodri.

While the hunt for this particular player led them down multiple routes, including FC Barcelona and their Dutch international Frenkie De Jong, their primary target has come from much closer to home.

That player is Leeds United and England midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

An agreement for the 26 year-old was reached in recent days, with the Premier League champions set to pay an initial £42 million for the player, plus a further £3 million in potential add-ons.

In the way of sales, Manchester City have now also finalised their first major exit of the summer.

Gabriel Jesus is set to move and be reunited with Mikel Arteta at Arsenal in a deal worth in the region of £45 million.

However, while there was obvious excitement around the potential of both deals happening, fans have been forced to wait for official confirmation from all relevant parties.

That is until now, and Monday.

According to the information of Martin Blackburn at The Sun, Manchester City are expected to confirm the signing of Kalvin Phillips on Monday.

Fans can expected a social media campaign, the England international's first interview as a City player, as well as potentially confirmation of his shirt number at the Etihad Stadium.

Furthermore, as part of the same report and confirmed by BBC's Mike Minay, Manchester City and Arsenal are also expected to announce the deal concerning Gabriel Jesus.

The Brazilian international will be bringing an end to an illustrious five-year stay at the Etihad Stadium, after arriving at the club in January 2017 from Palmeiras.
