John Stones has discussed his stunning equaliser against Borussia Dortmund.
The England international, who started at right-back for the Blues on Wednesday amid the absence of Kyle Walker, scored an uncharacteristic long-range strike to cancel out Jude Bellingham's opening goal.
Stones rifled the ball into the roof of the net from long-range on the 80th minute, as City defender inspired yet another thrilling comeback from the Premier League Champions.

Erling Haaland completed the turnaround less than five minutes later, as the Norwegian acrobatically scored the winning goal against his former club in the 84th minute.
Haaland, Ilkay Gundogan and Manuel Akanji were all facing their previous club, as City overcame a stern test at the Etihad Stadium to move three points clear at the top of the Group G.
Despite continued talk of yet another impressive goal from summer signing Erling Haaland, many were still surprised by Stones' stunning equaliser.

Speaking about the shock strike post-match, Stones said: "I try and take up those positions. The manager wants us in those sorts of areas for things like that and to control the counter attack as well.
"We were in good positions to pick up the pieces and it was one of those things. I was getting a few shouts and I decided to pull the trigger."
Wednesday's effort was Stones' 13th goal for Manchester City, with the 28 year-old having signed from Everton in 2016.
The England international has also revealed what was said at half-time, as he reflected on a somewhat lacklustre performance from the Sky Blues.

"It was difficult, we were not at our best tonight," admitted the City defender.
"First half we made it difficult, we didn’t use the ball well and had sloppy passes. We had some stern words at half-time between each other to change that and we did."
City extended their unbeaten to start to the campaign with victory on Wednesday night, with the Blues' next two Champions League matches coming against FC Copenhagen after the international break.

Stones is one of five centre-backs who will hopefully be available to Guardiola after the international break, with Aymeric Laporte having returned to first-team training after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Manuel Akanji, who signed from Borussia Dortmund for £15 million on Deadline Day, made his home debut in Wednesday’s victory, coincidentally against his former club.
The Blues' next fixture is against Wolves on Saturday afternoon, with Pep Guardiola's side looking to move to the top of the Premier League table with a victory.

Saturday’s fixture will be the first top-flight matches since the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, with tributes set to be paid to the late Monarch at matches this weekend.
