Manchester City have been described as being 'attentive' to the ongoing situation of Atletico Madrid and Portugal international star, Joao Felix.
While the season has not even reached the halfway point, and a World Cup separates the present with the January transfer window, stories surrounding the future of players never fail to disappear.
Manchester City are usually at the centre of the deals that concern astronomical transfer fees too, and the latest claim is no different.

The Premier League champions continue to be linked with centre-forwards and attacking players, despite a summer of reinforcements in the position.
Etihad official secured the signings of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund, as well as Julian Alvarez from River Plate - two players who have hugely impressed since putting on the Sky Blue shirt of City.
Nevertheless, one name that never disappears from being linked with a move to Manchester City is Joao Felix.

The Portugal international has had a relatively challenging time since joining the La Liga club from Benfica, and some believe that is down to the system in play at his current club.
As such, a new report has suggested that a move for the 22 year-old could be right around the corner, with a number of key names in European football keeping a close eye on his situation.
According to the information of Portuguese newspaper A Bola, as translated and relayed by Sport Witness, Manchester City are among five European giants to be 'attentive' to the situation of Joao Felix at Atletico Madrid.

It is explicitly stated in the report that the Portugal international 'wants to leave' the La Liga club in January.
Alongside Manchester City in showing some level of interest in the player are Manchester United, Liverpool, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich, according to A Bola.
In a damning closing statement on the situation surrounding Joao Felix and Atletico Madrid, the Portugal-based newspaper states, "There is no turning back.
"Divorce between (Diego) Simeone and João Félix without possibility of reconciliation.

"To the point that the forward wants to slam the door in January!"
At present, it has hard to imagine Manchester City officials sanctioning a hefty budget on Joao Felix.
The club are likely to be focused on other priorities upon the turn of the year, more specifically the central midfield role and the full-back positions.

It is understood in fact that the likes of Txiki Begiristain and Omar Berrada have already started drawing up a list of names in the aforementioned positions ahead of possible swoops in the summer transfer window of 2023.
