Manchester City’s long list of prospects leaving the club during the summer transfer window could get even longer, as Nottingham Forest are closing in on a deal for promising right-back, Issa Kaboré.
The 21-year-old impressed during the 2021/22 campaign with City Football Group-owned club ESTAC Troyes in the French top-flight.
Kaboré made a total of 31 appearances for the Ligue 1 side, registered a total of two assists in the process.

To compound his stellar season for Troyes, the defender has also registered 27 caps to date for Burkina Faso and represented his country at the Africa Cup of Nations, where he won the Best Young Player award at the most recent edition of the tournament.
For Manchester City, the club have been on a mission to raise funds through the sale of many of their young prospects this summer who do not appear to have an immediate future in the first team.
The likes of Gavin Bazunu, Romeo Lavia, Liam Delap, CJ Egan-Riley, and Samuel Edozie are all linked with, or have already completed moves away from the Etihad club to kick-start their careers in senior football.

While Issa Kaboré has already begun to make his mark in the Troyes first-team, a move to a Premier League side would be a step-up for the full-back.
As a result of his impressive season in France, newly-promoted Premier League club Nottingham Forest are in talks with Manchester City over a deal for the right-back.
This is according to a new report in The Guardian, who go on to reaffirm that despite talks, the two clubs are yet to agree on a fee for the promising 21-year-old.
With many reports suggesting Forest could be without the services of Djed Spence on the right flank next season, after the youngster played a key role in seeing his team reach the Premier League for the first time since 1999, the club could be keen on bringing in Issa Kaboré to fill the hole.

Manchester City’s outgoings are not met without incoming signings, however.
The club has already wrapped up the signings of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez in the central striker position, and are closing in on deals for Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips, as well as Brighton & Hove Albion defender Marc Cucurella.
A change in the back-up goalkeeper role is also right around the corner, with 29 year-old Stefan Ortega set to make the switch from the Bundesliga to the Premier League.

Zack Steffen will likely have to make way as a result.
The USMNT international is reportedly closing in on a season-long loan move to Championship side, Middlesbrough.
Playing as first choice under Chris Wilder will likely improve Steffen's chances of taking the number one shirt for his country at the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
As for Manchester City, they kick-off their pre-season campaign in the United States.

Pep Guardiola's side will face off with Mexican outfit Club América, and German giants FC Bayern Munich respectively.
With those matches less than a month away, the Manchester City hierarchy will be hoping to wrap up their summer dealings in a timely manner.
