Since first donning the Manchester City shirt, Erling Haaland has made life hell for defences in both the Premier League and the Champions League.
Scoring a staggering 10 league goals in his first six games, the former Borussia Dortmund youngster became the joint-fastest player in the history of the English top-flight to reach double digits.
Making his debut in Europe’s elite competition for Manchester City this week, the Norwegian international bagged a brace against Sevilla, taking his total so far to an impressive 12 goals in seven games.

Manuel Akanji, who was a teammate of the 22-year-old at Borussia Dortmund, sang his praises after keeping a clean sheet against the Spanish opposition in the 4-0 away win.
“At this point, finding the words is hard!” he said.
“I've played with him for two-and-a-half years and a lot of people asked whether he can score goals at this level when he came to Dortmund.

"Then they said that he needs to do this in the Premier League as well and he keeps on doing it.
Akanji continued, "I think it's hard to doubt him anymore at this point.
"He's so young and he's scoring so many goals. He's also learning a lot more about the game, where he needs to be to help the team and he's making big steps.
"If he keeps on improving, the sky's the limit. When he gets the ball in the box, he scores.”

Akanji went on to explain what makes the striking sensation the goalscoring machine he is.
“He holds the ball up very well, he has the pace to run in behind and there are so many things you have to be careful of as a defender.
"The team around him also played the perfect passes and made it easier for him. He works hard every day like the rest of us and that's why he gets the results.”

Manchester City’s latest recruit also highlighted Kevin De Bruyne’s key role in Erling Haaland’s success at the Etihad Stadium so far, with the midfielder already setting up three goals for him this term.
“Kevin plays these perfect passes for Erling, but not only for him, for the other guys as well.
"Their actions before give him the space, Kevin has the class to play the passes in behind and Erling finishes them.”

Manuel Akanji, much like the rest of those watching, is raving about an attacking duo in Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne that could prove to be a scary proposition for any side in the world.
