Erling Haaland has been heckled in the street by Manchester United fans begging the Manchester City striker to join their club.

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has been heckled in the street by Manchester United supporters begging him to join their club.

The Norway international has been in sensational form since signing for Pep Guardiola's side this summer.

Across his first eight competitive appearances for Manchester City, Erling Haaland has scored a staggering 12 goals and registered a further assist.

That means that Haaland has registered more than double the amount of goal contributions than any other Manchester City player.

To further highlight the outrageous impact of the former Borussia Dortmund striker, he has scored the same amount of goals across all competitive appearances as all of his Manchester City teammates put together.

As a result, you would not be at all surprised to realise that fans of the red club on the other side of town are getting a little jealous.

In a new video published on social media this week, a pair of Manchester United fans were so keen to try and get the Manchester City superstar over to Old Trafford that they heckled him in the streets of Salford.

"(Erling) Haaland, you came to the wrong side of Manchester!", they shouted as the £51 million striker made his way alone along Chapel Street in Salford.

The Manchester City striker responded, "They love me hear!"

When asked by the pair in the vehicle whether he was referring to Manchester United supporters, Haaland doubled down by joking, "Yeah, they love me here!"

In one final desperate attempt, the pair drove off by shouting, "Come to us next season, United! Yeah you know it, go on!"

Erling Haaland would have been in action once again for Manchester City this weekend.

However, following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, Premier League football has been postponed, and could be put on hold next weekend too.

Manchester City will hope to be back in action in midweek, when Borussia Dortmund are scheduled to travel to the Etihad Stadium for the Champions League group stage.

There is still every possibility that Manchester City's next Premier League fixture could be against Manchester United on October 2.
