Manchester City’s marquee summer signing and new number nine, Erling Haaland has commented on the club’s holy grail.
Manchester City have almost won everything there is to win in club football.
From the Premier League, to the FA Cup and all in between, Manchester City have dominated domestically in recent years.

However, the one major trophy that remains to be conquered is the UEFA Champions League.
Over the past few seasons, Manchester City have tried out many signings and tactics to try and finally break the rut but despite getting closer, the Manchester club are yet to win the coveted European prize.
Pep Guardiola's side suffered an agonising defeat to Real Madrid at the semi-final stages of the competition last season, as the Blues succumbed to another epic comeback from the eventual winners of the trophy at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The previous year, the Sky Blues frustratingly lost 1-0 to Chelsea in their maiden Champions League Final - overcoming European heavyweights including Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint Germain en route to the showpiece event in Portugal.
Many this summer however consider Manchester City as the complete package, now that the Premier League Champions have signed striker Erling Haaland.
Haaland, signed from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund for £51.2 million in June and is seen as the final key to European glory.

The Norwegian himself has now commented on the matter while speaking in an interview at Sunday’s unveiling event at the Etihad Stadium.
“I'll say, the Champions League is my favourite competition. You have the answer there,” said Haaland when quizzed on City’s quest for the Champions League.
The striker clearly does love the competition as his record in it speaks for itself.

Haaland has as many as 23 goals in 19 Champions League appearances.
If he can bring such goal scoring prowess to Manchester City’s play, the Citizens may have their best chance at European glory yet.
The 21 year-old was joined by fellow summer arrivals Julian Alvarez and goalkeeper Stefan Ortega outside the home of the Premier League Champions; while Kalvin Phillips - who recently completed a £42 million move from Leeds United - was absent due to illness.

Guardiola's latest recruits are expected to join up with the rest of the Catalan's first-team squad this week, with the Blues returning to pre-season training on Monday 11th July, before a tour of the United States for two friendlies prior to the start of the new Premier League campaign next month.
