Erling Haaland explained how his relationship with former Borussia Dortmund teammate and now-Manchester United star Jadon Sancho has been affected since joining Manchester City.
Ever since Haaland burst onto the scene for RB Salzburg, it seemed destined that he was destined to showcase his talent on the biggest stages over the course of his career.
With his father Alfie Haaland being a former Manchester City player, the stars had aligned for the revered striker to carry on his father’s legacy at the club.

The ex-Borussia Dortmund talisman has attended Manchester City games when his father represented the six-time Premier League champions and has been pictured in the sky blue since he was a child.
While there was never any doubt that Haaland was a blue through and through, it was clear to see that he was still a fan at heart at his public unveiling.
On being quizzed about which opponent he looks forward to facing the most, the Norway international said: “Look, I don’t like to say the words but Manchester United.”

In a recent interview with Four Four Two, Haaland revealed that he is no stranger to the animosity between both clubs, having enjoyed with United fans back in Norway from an early age.
“There are a lot of United fans in my home town in Norway, so I’ve always had to have a go at them. I’m used to this and I love it,” he said.
“Don’t take things too seriously. I want to be able to talk a bit like the fans, otherwise it gets a bit boring, doesn’t it?”

Haaland also provided some insight into his interactions with Manchester United fans in the city following his arrival from Borussia Dortmund this summer.
The Leeds-born forward added: “Look, it’s all about banter and I enjoy that. I’ve already met some United supporters here in the city, and we’re always joking with each other. It’s about not taking everything too seriously.”
Haaland further spoke about how he meets former Dortmund teammate Jadon Sancho, who joined United last summer.

He said: “He (Sancho) plays for the other lot (Manchester United) now though, so maybe we’ll have to meet in secret!”
City supporters will be over the moon by how Erling Haaland well and truly understands the significance of the rivalry between both Manchester clubs.
