This transfer window has brought in several new strikers for goalkeepers in the Premier League to certainly worry about.
Notable incoming forwards include Nottingham Forest’s Taiwo Awoniyi, Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez, and Manchester City duo Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland.
Perhaps the most high-profile of the listed players is the latter, who joined Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund in a £51.2 million transfer last month.

"When I have fun, I score more goals.”
Recently, Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy discussed his feelings about the Norwegian superstar’s arrival in England and the challenge that he presents to stoppers across the division.
One point which Mendy really pushed was that his preparation for Erling Haaland is no different to his preparation for any other striker he comes up against.

“I look at (Erling) Haaland like I look at, say, (Christian) Benteke at (Crystal) Palace - it’s not that different between Crystal Palace and (Manchester) City,” said Mendy.
“You have to be focused because he is a striker and he can score.”
If Edouard Mendy’s preparation for Haaland is similar to what he has been doing to prepare for the likes of Harry Kane, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Mohamed Salah, he should fair well against him.

The Senegalese goalkeeper found himself in elite form, as he finished the 2021/22 Premier League season with a goals against per 90 of 0.91 - the third lowest in the top-flight behind Alisson and Ederson.
Mendy’s previous campaign did not reach the highs of his debut season with Chelsea, when he won the Champions League, was named Goalkeeper of the Season in the competition, featured in the tournament's Squad of the Season, and was awarded The Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper Award.
Mendy and Erling Haaland’s first scheduled match is in January, when Manchester City visit Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
