Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson has hailed compatriot Gabriel Jesus following his £45 million move to Arsenal.
Jesus has departed City after spending five-and-a-half seasons at the Etihad Stadium in search of regular game time.
The Brazilian joined the Premier League champions from Palmeiras midway through the 2016/17 campaign.

After hitting the ground running immediately in Manchester, Jesus displayed City legend Sergio Aguero from Pep Guardiola's starting XI with an impressive run of form.
However, an injury suffered in a 2-0 win away at Bournemouth in the Premier League kept the 25-year-old on the sidelines for the following months.
Jesus finished his debut campaign at the Etihad Stadium strong as he partnered Aguero in attack as City terrorised defences to seal a third-place finish in Guardiola's first season at the club.

The Arsenal striker played a key role in City's historic 2017/18 campaign as he shared the scoring burden with the likes of Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane.
Jesus clinched the 100-point mark for the Blues in injury time on the final day of the season after taking an inch-perfect ball from Kevin De Bruyne into his stride and lobbing the goalkeeper.
As Aguero entered the other side of 30, Jesus kept providing glimpses of his ability to lead the line but failed to convince the City faithful he could be a solution down the middle in the longer run.

Often guilty of missing crucial changes at key moments in games, Jesus was tried out on the wings by Guardiola, who appreciated the Brazilian's work off the ball.
However, after making a fast start to life at Arsenal, Jesus has received praise from Manchester City star Ederson, who spent five years with the forward at the Etihad Stadium.
"I love him (Jesus) and his family. We were always very close," Ederson said in an interview with TNT Sports.

"I hope he (Jesus) has a lot of success in the new season because he deserves it.
"He is a boy who works hard and is a phenomenal player."
City have signed Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez to bolster their frontline this summer.

Gabriel Jesus has been joined by Oleksandr Zinchenko at the Emirates Stadium whilst Raheem Sterling has joined Chelsea ahead of the new season.
