Confirmed Line-Ups: Leicester City vs Manchester City (Premier League)

Manchester City face Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon, with the two team line-ups now confirmed.

Manchester City take on Leicester City on matchday 12 of the Premier League campaign on Saturday afternoon.

The Premier League champions suffered an end to their unbeaten run in the season against Liverpool at Anfield a few weeks ago.

However, a brace from Erling Haaland and a screamer from Kevin De Bruyne helped Pep Guardiola's men return to winning ways against Brighton last time out.

Manchester City enter their upcoming game two points adrift of leaders Arsenal, who were held to a 1-1 draw by Southampton at St. Mary's last week.

The Blues played out a goalless draw against Borussia Dortmund on matchday five of the Champions League group-stage in Germany on Tuesday evening.

Erling Haaland was hauled off at the interval as a much-changed Manchester City side, that saw Riyad Mahrez fail to convert from the penalty spot in the second half, failed to break down the Dortmund backline.

Haaland's fitness was a hot topic ahead of City's trip to Leicester, who are recovering from a difficult start to the campaign that has put pressure on the future of manager Brendan Rodgers.

Pep Guardiola confirmed in his pre-match press conference on Friday that Haaland would be assessed before a decision is taken on the Norwegian's availability for the game.

Since his summer switch from Dortmund to the Etihad Stadium, the 22-year-old forward has scored 22 times in 16 outings, with 17 of those strikes coming in the English top-flight.

It was further confirmed by the Manchester City manager that Kyle Walker and Kalvin Phillips will miss the trip to the King Power Stadium.

Phillips, who recently underwent surgery on his shoulder, has endured a difficult start to life in Manchester after signing from Leeds in the summer.

However, the England international has returned to first-team training but it is likely the midfielder will be eased back into action ahead of the World Cup in Qatar.

Joao Cancelo was replaced by Manuel Akanji at half-time in Dortmund earlier this week, with Guardiola stating after the game the Portuguese was suffereing from fever.
