Wednesday's victory came five days after a stunning 4-2 comeback win over Crystal Palace, as Guardiola's side bounced back from 2-0 down.
City travel to Birmingham on Saturday, to face a Villa side who have lost four of their opening five Premier League matches.
Guardiola saw his side dramatically come back from 2-0 down to seal the title with an incredible 3-2 win the last time the Champions played Steven Gerrard's side.

Ilkay Gundogan scored twice from the bench, as Manchester City retained the title at the Etihad Stadium in May.
Haaland has now scored a record nine goals from his opening five Premier League matches, with the Norwegian looking to hit double figures at Villa Park this weekend.
It remains to be seen whether Jack Grealish will feature against his boyhood club, after the 26 year-old swapped the Midlands for Manchester in 2021.
