Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury: How much are they getting paid for Saudi Arabian grudge match?

A look at how much Jake Paul and Tommy Fury are getting paid for their fight in Saudi Arabia this weekend.

Jake Paul takes on Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia this weekend in a boxing grudge match that has been over a year in the making. But how much will each competitor be paid?

Paul and Fury were due to face off in December 2021, but the fight was called off due to Fury suffering a broken rib in training.

A rearranged date was set for the summer, but the British fighter again had to withdraw - this time due to not being able to get into the United States for the fight due to travel visa issues.

This time around, however, the fight is rubberstamped and ready to take place, with the two boxers doing battle inside the 15,000-capacity Diriyah Arena in Saudi Arabia.

There has been plenty of back-and-forth between Paul and Fury prior to the fight, and there is a lot riding on its outcome as well.

The winner of the bout will receive a world ranking in the cruiserweight division by the WBC, putting them in position to potentially fight for a world title in the future.

But how much are the fighters getting paid for a match that will be watched around the world?

According to Sports Zion, Paul will receive a base salary of an eye-watering $3.2 million for his participation in the fight in Saudi Arabia. In addition, he will also earn 65 per cent of the total PPV share.

Fury, meanwhile, will receive a sum of $2 million as his base salary, plus the remaining 35 per cent of the PPV sale.

The same outlet claims that Paul will earn $8.6 million for the fight in total, with Fury getting $4.5 million.

Furthermore, the winner of the bout will receive a further $1 million, meaning there is potential for either fighter to increase their earnings.

For both Paul and Fury, it is arguably the biggest fight of their careers, both in terms of their opponent's profile and the spotlight shone on proceedings. There is a lot of money involved, too.
