Amir Khan has been banned from boxing, and all other sports, for two years, after testing positive for banned substance ostarine following his defeat to Kell Brook.
The former Olympian retired after the defeat to fellow British fighter Brook, in February 2022, and he won't be making a comeback after the news was announced today.
UK Anti-Doping took a urine sample from the Bolton born boxer following the fight at the AO Arena, in Manchester, which was found to have a Adverse Analytical Finding for ostarine.

Khan was told by UKAD of the finding just under a year ago, just a couple of months after the fight, and given a provisional suspension.
In the July he was given the two year ban for breaking two Anti-Doping Rule Violations for the presence and use of a prohibited substance.
The 36-year-old accepted the charges at the time but has maintained throughout that his ingestion of the ostarine was not 'intentional.'

An independent tribunal from the National Anti-Doping Panel considered the case from January this year and they made their decision on February 21st.
"Professional boxer and Olympic medallist Amir Khan has been banned from all sport for two years following Anti-Doping Rule Violations for the presence and use of a Prohibited substance," UKAD said in a statement.
"Mr Khan accepted the violations charged but maintained that his ingestion of ostarine was not "intentional".
"The panel also disqualified Mr Khan’s result from the bout against Mr Brook."

UKAD chief executive Jane Rumble said: "This case serves as a reminder that UKAD will diligently pursue Anti-Doping Rule Violations in order to protect clean sport.
"Strict liability means Athletes are ultimately responsible for what they ingest and for the presence of any Prohibited Substances in a Sample.
"It is important that all Athletes and their support personnel, whatever level they are competing at, take their anti-doping responsibilities seriously.

"Not doing so risks damaging not only an Athlete’s career, but also undermining public confidence in clean sport."
Khan finally fought long time rival Brook, long after the pair had been at their peaks, but lost in six rounds after a brutal display by the former IBF welterweight champion.
