The punching statistics from Oleksandr Usyk's stunning victory over Tyson Fury have emerged.
Ukrainian Usyk successfully defended his heavyweight belts on Saturday night as he scored a unanimous decision victory over British boxing great Fury.
Judges Gerardo Martinez, Patrick Morley and Ignacio Robles scored the bout 116-112 in the favour of the Ukrainian.
However, the scorecards were met with heavy criticism from Fury's promoter Frank Warren, who said: "How can Tyson only got four rounds in this fight?

"It's impossible. He got four rounds, each judge gave him four rounds, all different rounds."
After the bout, the punching stats from the fight emerged, which revealed Fury threw a total of 509 punches compared to Usyk's 423.
However, the Brit only managed to land 144 during the 12-round battle, whereas Usyk landed 179.
Overall, Usyk landed 42 per cent of punches thrown, which was better than Fury's disappointing 28 per cent.

In addition, it has been revealed that Usyk actually landed more punches in 10 of the 12 rounds fought.
Further expanding on his views, Warren continued: "He's (Fury) very disappointed, as I am as well. But I mean, I'm not saying there's any bias [but] everybody along the front row there, we all thought is the same.
"Nuts. I don't get it. I'm really, really disappointed with that. How can that be? That's impossible."

He added: "And same with the other judge here, you give him one round at the last at the last six, and the same here with this guy. It's crazy. And I'm calm and collected. I'm not screaming and shouting.
"That is a nonsense. Don't get me wrong, they both put their heart and soul into it. Both fighters have sacrificed a lot. I know what Tyson went through, what he did for this fight, and I know Usyk had done the same thing. All you want is a level playing field and a fair crack all the way, and that scoring was not good at all."
It remains to be seen whether we will see Fury return inside the ring after the 36-year-old dropped a cryptic nine-word response when asked about his future.
