John Fury's earnings from professional boxing are dwarfed by the staggering amounts his sons have made.
Tyson Fury is gearing up to take on Oleksandr Usyk in an undisputed world heavyweight contest in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
And naturally, the heavyweight’s father John, found himself in the headlines ahead of the bout, after being involved in a fracas with members of Usyk’s camp.

The Fury family are among the most iconic in boxing, with the colourful character John having 13 fights as a professional.
He lost his debut in 1987 before going on a seven-fight unbeaten streak. Once ranked third in the country, he suffered knockout defeats to former WBO champion Henry Akinwande and Steve Garber and retired with an 8-4-1 record.
And having never quite got to world level, John only ever made around £4,000 from boxing - claiming he made more from his bare-knuckle exploits, where he once won £100,000.

In his autobiography 'When Fury Takes Over", he writes: "Sometimes I idly speculate how far I could’ve got if I’d enjoyed the benefits of sponsorship, and career guidance and support, and hadn’t had to do two jobs just to keep my family afloat financially.
"I wasn’t making any real money from Queensberry Rules boxing; in thirteen fights as a pro over an eight-year period.
"I made less than £4,000. Fighters often make excuses after they’ve been beaten, but some of my challenges were laughably one-sided. Like when I fought Neil Malpass. It was my first ten-rounder, and at the time I had only had a handful of fights and experienced six two-minute rounds, while he had had over forty professional fights. I lost narrowly on points."

Meanwhile, while the official figure will not be known until after the fight, US promoter Bob Arum said Tyson could take home more than $100million (£79million) against Usyk.
Moreover, Tyson signed a $100million (£79million) deal with Top Rank in 2021 while Forbes estimates his net worth to be in the region of $62million (£49.36million).
Tommy Fury has had fewer fights than his father, yet Tyson claims he has now made around $25million (£19.9million) after venturing into the world of influencer boxing.
